April 23, 2024 – Transurban Data Outage [Resolved on 6/27/2024]

Starting on the morning of April 22, 2024, Transurban began experiencing a disruption that is preventing data from reaching the DEP. The current resolution estimate is unknown.

April 1, 2024 – WMATA Real-Time Parking Occupancy Added

On April 1, 2024 the DEP API was updated to include real-time WMATA parking occupancy data.

March 27, 2024 – VDOT KITS Sequence Data Added

On March 27, 2024 the DEP API was updated to include VDOT KITS sequence data with the timing patterns and ring IDs.

March 21, 2024 – WMATA Bus Crowding Added

On March 21, 2024 the DEP API was updated to include WMATA bus crowding categories as part of the GTFS-RT output.

February 27, 2024 – VDOT Work Zone Activity Indicator Added

On February 27, 2024 the DEP API was updated to indicate whether a VDOT reported work zone is currently active or inactive by setting the DEP API “status” field to the OpenTMS “segment_status” value.

February 15, 2024 – Transurban Detector Data Backfill Complete

On February 15, 2024 the Transurban detector data gap for the time period between October 20, 2023 and December 2, 2023 was backfilled. There are no longer any significant data gaps for this data set.
